Official: Twistzz joins Liquid

Team Liquid have formally confirmed the signing of Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken from Misfits.

Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken joins Liquid on a permanent basis after playing for the team on loan earlier this week, helping them to beat OpTic 2-0 and to hold SK Gaming to a 1-1 draw in the ESL Pro League.

He will step into the shoes of Jacob “Pimp” Winneche, who stepped down from Liquid’s starting roster last month after expressing his wish to be transferred to a different team.

“Having this opportunity is the greatest feeling,” he told Liquid’s website. “I am ready to take on new challenges when coming into Team Liquid.”I have worked extremely hard these past couple months on improving myself, being much more consistent and becoming a better player/person. The main reason I wanted to join Team Liquid is because I see it as a big stepping stone in my career. It gives me more experience as well.” – Russel Van Dulken

The Canadian member burst onto the scene in late 2015 with SKDC. After playing for TSM as a stand-in for a brief period in March 2016, he signed for the North American organisation and quickly garnered a reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in the region.

His final event for Misfits was DreamHack Masters Las Vegas, where he averaged a 1.15 Rating despite his team being eliminated after just two matches.

 Liquid now have:

  Nick “nitr0” Cannella

Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski

Josh “jdm64” Marzano

Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz

Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken
