Analyst from Thorin updated his TOP-10 rating of teams for CS: GO
Duncan “Thorin” Shields (born March 5, 1983) is an e-sports journalist and analyst. Many call him “the historian of eSports”, because he is known for his knowledge of the stories of games. Currently he works as an analyst in various events from large organizers such as ELEAGUE and DreamHack, writes articles for dotesports.com and has his own channel on YouTube.
Thorin’s comments about his rating:
Cybersport organizations and teams have always fought for the constantly updated rating of the best professional teams in the world, with so many teams participating in different championships and having difficulty evaluating a particular team for a ranking in which the results of one event should be taken into account more than the other. Instead of creating some complicated scoring system and putting my experience in the distribution task, I instead looked at the recent form of each team and determined the ranking positions, according to my own analysis.
He also added that he takes into account the results only on LANE:
Offline results are the only ones that I take into account. In general, I compare the results of the team for the last three months, with those that were at the beginning of that period, in contrast to the result of more recent tournaments. All results, succession of wins, current form and opponents are all factors that need to be weighed and considered. Since the last edition of the rating, we have had cs_summit, Dreamhack Austin, IEM XII Syndey and Dreamhack Tours.
We offer you the updated rating at 11. 05. 17:
